Brothers: An Emotional Rollercoaster

When first I started the game Brothers:  A Tale of Two Sons, I was expecting a feel-good adventure-oriented game.  For some reason, I was also expecting the traditional platformer set-up.  I could not have been more wrong in that assessment.  As it turns out, Brothers is an emotional roller-coaster that tugs at both the heartstrings and the tear ducts.

Conflict in Psychonauts

Psychonauts is an interesting concept in general.  It’s a video game about a camp for psychically gifted children.  These children are then suddenly appearing brainless, and the goal of the game is to figure out what’s happening to them.  The player character is named Razputin, and throughout the game he encounters a number of very trying challenges that he must overcome, including a number of external and internal obstacles.

Final Fantasy XV

The Final Fantasy series is a popular game series both here in the western world and in Japan.  As a series, it has become a staple of gaming, and somehow I’ve managed to go my entire gaming career without ever even watching so much as a play through of a single Final Fantasy game.  Today, I hope to explore the thoughts I’ve had about the most recent part of the franchise, Final Fantasy Fifteen.
